Heartland 7s – July 12, 2014

The Heartland 7s – hosted by the KC Blues in Kansas City, Missouri, is confirmed for July 12th, 2014.

The Heartland 7s will serve as one of three Qualifiers for 7s Club Nationals for the new Frontier 7s Region, on July 12th.  The Frontier 7s Region will include teams from MO, KS, NE, SD, CO, UT, and WY.

Frontier and non-Frontier teams are invited to join us for all Divisions as there is something in this for everyone.

In addition to the Qualifier Division, we’ll also have a Men’s Open Division, and a Boy’s High School Division.

2014 will be the Blues’ 8th year hosting this event, and we’re at an outstanding location again this year with 5 full-sized, natural grass pitches ideally situated in a privately managed state-level soccer tournament venue 20 miles southeast of KC in Lee’s Summit, MO, called Legacy Soccer Park.  Over 1,200 free parking spaces, on-site professional concessions, and 14 on-site permanent restrooms are just some of the athlete and fan amenities you’ll enjoy at Legacy.

Last year we had a 12-team Qualifier Division, 12-team Open Division, and a 6-team High School Division, and this year we have the room to grow, and still be able to guarantee 4+ matches for everyone… it will be a GREAT time and has always been very competitive and fun across all divisions.

To register your team in any Division, or for more info, contact Tournament Directors Pete Kowalski (913-488-2396) or Eric Munninghoff (816-804-6363), or email kcheartland7s@gmail.com

Please pass the word amongst your Club and let us know if you’re interested.

We will have hotel group rates setup, and our traditional post-tournament party, and will get those details to interested teams upon registration.

Aspen, Blues, Chicago Lions, Dallas Harlequins, Denver Barbarians, El Azul, Ft. Worth, Glendale, GOATS, KC Rogues, Oklahoma, St. Louis Ramblers, St. Louis Bombers, Woodlands, and the Minnesota Youngbloodz have all participated in the Qualifier bracket in the past 5 years… With the Barbarians winning in 2013, Blues in 2012, Woodlands in 2011, Lions in 2010, and Aspen in 2009.
